PTI buttons + dies + floss= cute baby card

I've needed a few baby cards and actually sat down and made some.  I have really good intentions and buying abilities, but not as good at actually sitting down and finishing a project.  Since I don't have the Sweet Baby dies yet, I had to make use of the darling Tiny Tags and a project I've had floating around in my head for a while.

I need a few boy ones, so hopefully there will be a follow up post soon.

PTI - Stamp-a-faire Challenge #10

I usually stalk view the PTI blogs regulary, but I guess didn't on Saturday so I missed most of the challenges that Nicole had posted.  Lucky for me I get another chance :)  The challenge is to add a stamped focal point over a stamped background, all in the same layer.  I wish I had more PTI background stamps (adding to ever growing wish list), but I used what I had and created this little fall card.

One of the Leaf Prints stamped in versamark on a kraft background with the tree and sentiments from Falling Leaves.

May PTI Blog Hop

It's been a long time since I've posted anything.  Having a little one and moving because of a layoff and rehiring has taken away some of my card making time.  I always plan on playing along with the PTI blog hops and make it Monday, but it never seems to actually happen.  But, I have lots of cards planned in my head.  On to the hop.

The hop is suppose to be focusing on May flowers.  I really was planning on using lots of flowers, but surprisingly, my design in my head didn't actually make it to the card :)  I'd been trying some rolled flowers using my new Paper Petal Roller by Imaginisce, and happened to set one down on a negative die cut of New Leaf, and loved it.  The sentiment is from Tag-its 3.

Here's the die I'd cut from the gray paper.  I decided that I need more Beautiful Blooms dies besides just number 3.  It just wasn't working last night.  I used Edgers #1 and it turned out great.  Can I tell you how much I love the PTI dies?

Happy Hopping!!

American Crafts and WCMD

Can you tell I had fun actually making cards this weekend?  It was very fulfilling to actually try some of the challenges that were out there in association with World Card Making Day.  Psst - don't tell anyone but I actually made these today, Sunday.  I decided to have World Card Making Weekend.

Anyway, American Crafts also had a challenge.  I use to live less than a mile from their warehouse.  I'm so sad I'm gone.  I would buy my own Christmas present of stacks of paper and spools of ribbon at their warehouse sale in December.  And yes, I'm planning to drive 2 1/2 hours with 3 kids to go this year.  Here's the two cards I made with all AC products, except the ink.  I haven't bought any of their ink yet, since I live in the middle of crafting nowhere now.  But, come December...

Moxie Fab World Challenge

Wow - I've never participated in a world challenge before.  It's like I'm finally fulfilling my goal to be in the Olympics.  Ok, not quite, but it is my first Moxie Fab challenge.
The challenge was to, "Create a project (card, gift bag, tag, layout, home decor item, mini-book cover, etc.) that incorporates offset scallops in an innovative way."  I'm not so sure about the innovative way, but here's my card.
Sorry about the shadows.  Guess I should start my challenge projects sooner. You still have time to enter.  Go to http://www.moxiefabworld.com/2010/09/moxie-fab-world-challenge-offset.html for the details.  The more the merrier.
Thanks for stopping by!

Card Creations 8 Inspiration

Besty Veldman's blog is one of those I check almost every day.  Not only is she one of the Go To Gals for Paper Crafts, she's a Papertrey designer.  While she's a little more shabby chic than I am, I love her stuff and am learning to embrace my inner layering and distressing self.

She's having a challenge on her blog to create a holiday card inspired from Card Creations 8.  I chose Natalie Dever's card on pg 9 for my inspiration.

DeNami has such cute little animal stamps.  I love their animal blog hop that they do.  They are having a give a way as well today.  Good luck!
